What you'll need to do


Access to Online Classes is via Zoom app.


Zoom is a leading software that will allow us to demonstrate to you online via your mobile phones, laptops or tablets.


You will need to download the Zoom app if you have not already got this. From experience, I would advise downloading the app a couple of days before the class, so you have it ready to go. You can download the app from the link below.

Mama & Baby Barre

Specifically designed classes for women in all stages of pregnancy. We focus on safe core and pelvic floor activation, as well as strengthening and stabilising exercises that help to support every stage of pregnancy setting you up for a supported labour and postpartum recovery. These classes are safe, informative and fun and will support you to feel calm, strong and energised throughout your pregnancy journey


Our MAMA & BABY BARN classes fuse Pilates, Ballet and fitness together in total barre/ballet classes. We integrate the fundamentals of Pilates, a strong core workout, functional joint protecting, low impact exercises and dance for a wholesome all round & fun-filled workout. We modify accordingly per trimester and the individual.

We are committed to assisting and inspiring you along your Pre/Postnatal fitness journey at The Barn.

Pilates is a low-impact workout that increases flexibility, strength and muscle tone, and is a safe exercise during pregnancy. Focusing on the use of breath and the pelvic floor. The exercises are taught with modifications accordingly to the individual needs and different stages of pregnancy.

Our Prenatal courses are designed to gently and safely help you through your pregnancy by reducing aches and pains, improving posture and preparing your body for labour. Please contact us to join a block part way through or sign up for the block by booking online.

Gentle Pilates for new mamas. With limited numbers to allow for plenty of 1-1 attention and supervision, this class is aimed at helping you recover from pregnancy and birth. A calm and relaxed class, allowing you to reenergise and gradually return to your usual fitness routine.

  • Increase awareness of your pelvic floor and core muscles

  • Pelvic floor safe, general strengthening

  • Improve alignment to help relieve back pain and pelvic pain

  • Stretching areas of tension associated with being a new mum

  • Aid relaxation and promote a sense of wellbeing

This class is also beneficial for those with diastasis recti (tummy separation)

Please email us if there are no available sessions when you go to book online- you may be able to join mid-block if there is space.


Pre/Postnatal Barre focuses on back strengthening and mobility, use of breath and the pelvic floor. The exercises are taught with the modifications accordingly to the individual needs and different stages of pregnancy. Specifically designed to retrain your muscles to respond to the continuous change your body is undergoing throughout your pregnancy. By helping them activate properly and in the correct sequence, you will be able to cope more easily with the rigours of labour and childbirth, and the demands of the months to follow.  


Class structure:


1) Light cardio warm up

2) Gentle modified stretch

3) We work on arms, pelvic floor and transverse abdominal exercises

4) Barre work

5) Finish with a final modified stretch and relaxation

Prenatal Class Guidance 

We are passionate about supporting pregnant and post-natal women. If you are pregnant, you can enjoy both Pilates and Ballet classes with The Barn. We have two routes for our pregnant clients:


  • First of all: Please fill in a Pregnancy Health Screening before you attend the studio/or online classes and email back to us.

  1. If you are new to the studio and would like to join our group classes you must first attend a private 1-1 Pilates session.

  2. Enjoy private Pilates sessions throughout your pregnancy with The Barn’s bespoke 1-1 classes


Pilates and Ballet classes are great way to improve your fitness, strengthen your body and destress. Ideally, you should continue the exercise you have been doing in the lead up to your pregnancy, while you are pregnant. So the earlier you begin with us the better. We look forward to seeing you soon.



Postnatal Class Guidance

Classes designed to help you regain your fitness and stamina gradually after giving birth and enabling you to enjoy exercise with your baby. We focus on overall strengthening, improving your pelvic floor and posture and increasing your energy levels. A wonderfully environment to connect with your baby and to meet other new mamas. 

-Suitable from 6 weeks for normal delivery and 8 weeks for caesarean delivery. You will have been assessed by your GP/Midwife to be safe to go back to exercise

-Babies are welcome from 6 weeks until crawling. Classes consist of no more than 8 so that you receive a high level of supervision.
