What you'll need to do
Access to Online Classes is via Zoom app.
Zoom is a leading software that will allow us to demonstrate to you online via your mobile phones, laptops or tablets.
You will need to download the Zoom app if you have not already got this. From experience, I would advise downloading the app a couple of days before the class, so you have it ready to go. You can download the app from the link below.

Pilates is suitable for all levels of fitness and is particularly beneficial in helping the recovery and rehabilitation of many conditions including sciatica, general back pain, sports injuries, arthritis, osteoporosis, as well as pre-and post-natal health. It works by using controlled, yet fluid movements, alongside a specific breathing pattern to reinforce correct spinal and pelvic alignment. Each class emphasises the foundation principles of Pilates while offering modifications and variations to suit each participant's individual needs.
Whether you are completely new to Pilates, or returning back to exercise/practise or looking to take your fitness to the next level, The Barn offers a range of Pilates classes for all. Pilates bridges the gap between injury and full physical fitness. Pilates has something for everyone. We pride ourselves in creating calm, focussed and liberating classes for all. We offer classes from Absolute Beginners to Intermediate to cater for all ages and levels.
Mat Pilates Classes
Our Mat Pilates classes build upon traditional Pilates principles and exercises to create the ultimate Pilates based workout to stretch, strengthen and stabilise. Muscle imbalances are the most common cause of lower back pain, aches and pains, poor posture and even low energy. Help your body return to a place of ease of movement and symmetry with our Mat Pilates classes. Suitable for Absolute Beginners and those wishing to take their fitness/Pilates practise to a new level.

FOUNDATION PILATES ONLINE
Foundation Pilates is open to everyone, from absolute beginners up. The classic Pilates experience delivered online: a full body workout, to help you build strength, increase flexibility and improve overall well being; mobilising joints that have stiffened up & waking up sleeping core muscles.
This calming and relaxing class helps you to clear your mind and re-energise. Classes are easy to follow & low impact.
SUNRISE PILATES ONLINE
Mondays and Wednesdays 7.45am
Wake up Pilates session.
A mixed level class, with options to progress or modify your movement.
Move with the sun. Feel calm, energised and ready to begin a new day.
ZEN PILATES ONLINE
-No kneeling in this class.
This is a Beginners level class. In a beginners class you are perfectly fine to come along without any prior experience.
Zen classes are suitable for those who may have certain aches / conditions / or partly limited movement/ an injury that is creating pain or limiting certain movement(s).
A good class for those who may need to focus on:
-strengthening and stretching before pre-op, or post-op for hips and knees.
-focus solely on your body and the movement at hand, to reinforce healthy movement patterns.
We focus on fundamental Pilates principals, functional movement and refining technique. Adapted for modern day postural weakness and muscular limitations. We offer modifications as regressions and progressions.

Our Absolute Beginners Course is suitable for those who are New to Pilates, or for anyone who has had a break from practising. An introduction is given to foundational Pilates practise, focussing on breathing and form/technique. The class ends with a cool down and relaxation section. This class helps complete beginners to build confidence in a safe, calm, supportive and nurturing environment. This is an entry level class, that will teach you the fundamentals of Pilates movement at a steady pace, easing you towards a fitter, stronger and more flexible physique.
Please note: You should consult your GP/physician or other health care professional before starting exercise classes or any other fitness program to determine if it is right for your needs.
